According to the agreement with Administration of Eiz Eldeen Saleem Sub-District LUKOIL implemented the first social project for this year, which was the Food Boxes Project.

This
project was implemented in cooperation with the Administration of Eiz
Eldeen Saleem through Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation, which is a
non-governmental organization; its main work is taking care of the
orphans and widows families. This Foundation was chosen by the
Administration of Eiz Eldeen Saleem to do this project for two main
reasons: it is nonprofit organization and it has vast experience in
doing such job.
According
to the project, Al-Ayn Foundation has to supply foodstuff, pack it
into separate boxes or baskets (about 11 food items in each) and
distribute it to 1000 families, suffering from lack of means
(families with orphans, widows or simply poor families).
This
project is well appreciated by the local people. Regional Affairs
department staff has followed up each step of the project by visiting
the places where boxes were prepared and distributed. They have heard
many thankful words from the families and from the villages’
representatives. Local news agencies published articles about this
project.

Ramadhan Beit-Mashaal
Charity is very important in Islam, and even more so during Ramadan. Zakāt, often translated as "the poor-rate", is obligatory as one of the pillars of Islam; a fixed percentage of the person's savings is required to be given to the poor. Sadaqah is voluntary charity in giving above and beyond what is required from the obligation of zakāt. In Islam, all good deeds are more handsomely rewarded during Ramadan than in any other month of the year.
