GHANA

A special chamber of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea establishes a maritime border between Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire (taking the side of the former). This allows LUKOIL and Hess to continue offshore work at the Tano project, the western part of which forms the border between the two countries.

MEXICO

Block 12 in the Sureste Basin offshore Campeche, Mexico. In 2019 the company is to drill its first exploratory well offshore Mexico.

2017 at a glance

LUKOIL signs a contract to conduct seismic exploration at Block 10 with Iraq’s Oil Exploration Company. The work will be conducted at the Eridu oil reservoir as well as the previously unexplored southern and central parts of Block 10.

UZBEKISTAN

LUKOIL brings the first parts of the Kandym Gas Processing Plant online in Uzbekistan.
