On April 17th LUKOIL’s Region 2 team met H. Daniel (Danny) Hogan.
April was a month of transition for Region 2. With many well wishes, Mr. Kevin Black left the Company after the successful completion of all tasks set by LUKOIL, including four years of leading LUKOIL in the development of deepwater offshore exploration and drilling expertise.
Newly-appointed General Director Mr. Daniel Hogan brings over 35 years of operational and executive experience. His professional life began in South Texas with Exxon where he grew his international career in various supervisory, operational and executive roles. He worked for two years with ENI/Agip in the Gulf of Mexico as Operations Manager and VP of Well Operations, nine years with Devon Energy Corporation as the International Operations Manager and VP of International Well Engineering and one year with HRT America as VP of Drilling. Mr. Hogan brings a reputation for successful international leadership in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Hogan was one of the founding Executives of Houston-based PanAtlantic E x plor at ion C ompa ny, which had operations in Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Colombia. In early 2012, he had been appointed Senior Vice President for Operations with responsibility for global drilling, completion and production activity, HSE, contracts, procurement and operations geology.
In March 2016, Mr. Hogan was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in addition to assuming the responsibilities of President and Chief Executive Officer. His additional role included executing organizational and strategic changes during a challenging commodity price environment.
Mr. Hogan has established a reputation for leading large-scale projects on time and on budget internationally and in the Gulf of Mexico. He has said he looks forward to using his experience to implement systems for monitoring company performance in strategic, budgetary and HSE goals.
“We continue to work in a challenging business environment, including unstable commodity prices and limited new venture opportunities,” Mr. Hogan said at his first Employee Town Hall meeting. “We have a short time to generate results, but our principle goal must be to be successful in providing profit for LUKOIL shareholders, no matter what the environment. Working as a team, I believe we have the right tools to achieve our goals.”
